Ingredients
We keep the ingredients simple, unlike other store brands with so many additives. We use Floral Scraps, Compostable Paper product, and riogreen nutrient soil enhancer. We do our best to produce a pure material for you and your green friends. A material with an impact toward a greener future. Every decision we make is made with the considerations to a greener future. product that we inspect and find not sufficient for sale still gets redirected to local communities and park landscaping.
The Process
Our process is simple; we work with local florists, farms, funeral providers, and churches to ensure we divert as much green-waste from landfills as possible. With the donated waste, we sort through the green-waste and do our best to remove all non-compostable rubbish to prevent this from compromising our product. We process the green waste in an expedited fashion and maintain a natural 50/50-Green/Brown batch, similar to traditional composting. We then proceed with a sensitive dehydration process with natural microorganism plant booster to inhibit and support microbial growth for your Greens.
ABOUT US
We are Veteran Owned and Operated
Stephen's idea began during his time as a funeral director. His guilt of continuously throwing plants and flowers away in the dumpster inspired him to take on a challenge and find a way to make a positive environmental impact in his local community. With the help of those already in his network, he coordinated with community providers to direct their green waste to him. From there RioGreen began.
Stephen is a 5 year Naval Aviation Veteran and Next of Kin Gold Star Survivor.
